First Tournament at Green Bay

Last two day, Hmong make a soccer tournament in Green Bay.  My family and I went to there, they sold a lot of things but I couldn’t bring lot money so I cannot buy anything.  Before we go my husband and I think that we will not buy anything however, when we were got there.  They sold some pretty things that I very want to buy but we also bring little money.   

            When it was lunch time, my mother in law wants me to buy a papaya for us.  So when I went to buy it.  A lady that sold papaya told me that how many chilly I want to have in my papaya.  When she shows me the chilly, I want it have four chilly on my papaya.  Before I think that it is not spicy. 

When she finish with it then I take it very tasty first I eat it not very spicy but a while I felt it more and more spicy.  So when we are finish eating then I felt my stomach being hurt because it is too spicy but it very tasty.

Busy on Last Weekend

On Saturday, my family has make Hmong culture to mother in law because last summer, she has car accidents.  So she scared about that, then we also want to buy a cow to make a big meal and the shaman has to call her spirit come home then we should call our relatives to come to join us and help my family to cook because we cooked a lot of foods. 

Many people come to join my family too.  We are cook too much so after eating I have to give them some foods to my relative and friends before they were go home.  So I have to clear my house.  I really tired after I clean, when I finish with it then at night I felt like my foot was swollen because I have to cook all day and more standing and walking.

However, it still has a lot left so I think that I will save it to tomorrow but on the morning it already not good to eat so I could throw it away.  Then I have to make the other new cook for our breakfast because the foods that we have left don’t well anymore.

Baby Shower Party

Yesterday, I went to join my friend party because her grandmother wants to make a celebration for her baby girl.  So she will be due her baby on May, 16 so it is as soon.  At my friend party there have many people and friends were came to join her party.  So her family made a lot of good food in that party.  There were noodles soup, eggs roll, candy, fruits, and drinks.  All of these are very tasty food.  I very love it, because it my favors.

But I couldn’t eat it a lot, because I already ate in my husband sister wedding at that day too.  So that I so full and I couldn’t have it more but I very like that foods so I also try some of it, because they are taste very good.  I like to have the eggs roll more because my friend is very good to mix the things of eggs roll, so the eggs is very tasty.

All of our friends and their relatives gave a lot of gifts for her baby, because she is also having her first baby.  So after that we were made a little game to play for fun, so that my other friend want us to get a wearing to the baby toy, so she will set up the time for us to complete a wear for the baby toy.  So that if who are make a wear quickly for the baby toy than that person will be the winner, then she or he will get the gift.  So that game is so fun, but I so say, because I couldn’t see the end that who are the winner, because I went home to do my home, so the why I couldn’t play that game the ending.

A Gift Card!

Last week, I have received a gift card of $10 from Kohl’s store, and it has a big discount on this week, so the date is ending by April 23.  So that I think that I will go to use it by the ending date, I want to wait to the date ending, because I saw a pretty dress the price was $49.99 but it takes 50% off if I use that $10 of a gift card than it was $19.99 only.  But yesterday, I forgot to go, because I think that today is April 23, so in this morning my family get ready to go to kohl, but I ask my husband that does today is 23^rd, but he said, that today is 24^th, so I not sure than I go to look at the calendar than it is 24^th, so that it was passing the date that on the card.  Then I cannot use that gift card anymore, because I confuse about the date.

When we were went through there, than the price is back up to the same price.  So now it is too expensive. I cannot buy it, so I very angry at myself, because I not remember the date at well.  So I have lost that pretty dress, but I hope that it will be has a big discount than I will go to buy it again.  

My husband and I also go to look at the kids clothing, find some clothing and bought it for my children.  After that we were went back home.  So if it is has a big discount like that than I hope, that I will not forgot like this time and not lost my pretty things anymore.

Laws of Thai School

When I learned in Thailand I was 9 years old of my age. My brother and I go with many of Hmong children Thai in that school, because that school they made for Hmong people that who are have paid for their children to learn in that school, because they needed to paid for the books each year.  The amount of money was 1,001 bath. 

When we were in that school, I don’t like the law, because the teachers could hit students’ very time.  If who were came late then the teacher could punishment that person.  I saw one student in other class has punishment, because the building doesn’t have the wall to cover.  All my class saw his teacher punish him, the teacher needed he to stand in 1hr with one let because the other one he needed to pull to the knee and with two rock on his hands so if he couldn’t stand and made the rock fell down than he will has to hit by the teacher three time hard hitting, because it is the law in Thai school.

           

In that school all the teachers must checked the students nails very month but all the students don’t know the date that when teachers will check it.  So In my brother class he has a friend that who are has nails just a little long, so the teacher told he friend to get all of the fingers together than teacher use a big ruler to hit the nails so that he fingers nails could come out a little blood. 

             

In that school the girls must have their hair short a cut under or upper their ears. So when we were most came home, so all the student should have made a line for each class to go home, so that my teacher came to check our hair with a scissors, so my friend and I with two boys have cut hair by the teacher because the law all of boys have one very short hair style for the boys than that two boys have a little long hair, so teacher cut three scissors cut on their hair.  So about my friend and I have one inch long hair over our ears.  We have a big cut on our hair, because the teacher doesn’t like students’ hair long.

           

I don’t like the laws in Thai school, because the teachers so mean.  They not love the students, they could hit the student if they want, and now I know that the teachers in there not very interest to teach the students.  They also want to get the money.  Because most of the student cannot read, write, and solve problem.  If they couldn’t do it than teachers also use the stick to hit students because all of the teachers should have one stick with them very time.

Hmong soccer tournament

I think that it almost began to summer time!  I very love summer, because it has too many fun outside and good times to go anywhere.  I cannot wait for the Hmong soccer tournament, because very years I have to help my mom sell her stuffs in the tournament.  She came from North Carolina to sell her stuff on very Hmong soccer tournament on July 4 and every city that have Hmong soccer tournament. 

When I go there I could meet my old friends and my relative that when we were live together in Thailand too.  But some of they have a change and little different than the person that I have knew, because sometime I could not remember some of them, but they were still remember me, because I am not change still the same. So the tournament in the summer is a good time for the relatives came to meet each other, because in this country everyone should have work to do, so that they don’t have to go visit each other than the summer they would want to travel out of city and go to meet their relatives on the tournament. 

For the adult they couldn’t want to stay too much inside the house because they don’t have nothings to do, so they like to go to the tournament to travel and exercise to get a healthy.  And go the meet their relatives that lives too far from them and old friends that they don’t have had saw for a long time ago.  And they want to go to buy movies and karaoke music to watch in the winter then they cannot bore to stay in the winter.   

My Best Friends

When I was in high school, I have many friends.  We are like to go eat lunch together.   My friend and I always say that we will be the best friends forever, but we are not a boy will stay in one city together because we are girls then will go and married far away.  Now some of they were married and just have a few friends with me live in Sheboygan.  But we still best friends and love each other.

When they are going away and we couldn’t see each other, but we still talk on the phone and it make us like we are still live together.  But it is very say, because I couldn’t saw them long time ago.  I very miss my friend that who are married.   When we are live together we always love to cook Thai soup and noodle soup on the Friday night and weekend too because these are our favors food. 

Now, if I do some food like noodle soup than I very miss my friends that who are marry, but o so happy that I still have some friends who are not marry yet come to join me too, but not a lot like when we all still in together so that why I so miss them, because it was my friend favors.  I hope that someday they will come to visit me and my friends that who are still in this city than we will make a lot of our favors food for us eat together again like the past that we were did.  Love them forever!!!
